To conduct a Certified Criminal Record check, the Canadian Criminal Real Time Identification Services (CCRTIS) requires a full set of fingerprints, including both rolled and flat impressions of all ten fingers. There is no substitute for a Certified Criminal Records Check, it is the only way that you can be sure that the individual you are dealing with is really who they claim to be and that they do not have a criminal record.

Services Offers
- Inked and rolled fingerprints – normally done for submission to foreign countries for search or for Security Worker Licensing here in British Columbia.
- Certified Criminal Record Checks – This is done in one of two ways;
- Electronic Fingerprint Submissions via Cardscan – A PFS agent takes a set of inked and rolled fingerprints for the client. These fingerprints are scanned, digitized, encrypted and submitted electronically to the Canadian Criminal Real Time Identification Services (CCRTIS) for search.
- Electronic Fingerprint Submissions via Livescan – The client attends our head office in Surrey and the individual’s fingerprints are scanned directly into an encrypted digital format and submitted directly to Canadian Criminal Real Time Identification Services (CCRTIS) for search.
- Federal Government Clearances – PFS can complete the Federal Government Screening checks for employees or employers seeking clearances up to and including the Public Works and Government Services designation of Secret.
- Criminal Name checks via CPIC - this is done in one of two ways;
- A PFS agent can attend the clients’ location and have the subject of the Criminal Name Check complete and sign a Consent form. Once the appropriate documents are at our office the check is completed within 24-48 hours.
- Subject of the Criminal Name Check attends our head office in Surrey and has their name submitted for search on the spot via our new “Virtual Front Counter” software and the results are received within 12 – 24 hours. In many cases the results are returned within minutes.

Remote Cardscan – Canada
If you are in an area of Canada where electronic fingerprint services are not provided you can still have your fingerprints processed digitally. Simply complete our 3rd Party Consent form, go to your local police detachment and have your fingerprints taken then forward them to our Cardscan facility in Surrey. All Cardscan submissions are processed the day we receive them and you will be notified via e-mail (if e-mail address provided) when the RCMP have completed the electronic search of your prints. Remote Cardscan – International
